About Stingray Bay

Sheltered at the mouth of the Merri River within the Merri Marine Sanctuary near Warrnambool, this bay's sandy bottom is home to stingrays and flathead, with fringing reef on either side supporting kelp forests, swim-throughs and a good variety of fish and invertebrates, making it a popular and relatively calm site for underwater photography.
